In the FaceTime app, tap New FaceTime and type the person's phone number or email address. Tap the number or email address, then tap the Audio button or FaceTime. If you've saved the person's phone number or email address in your Contacts, 3 you can start typing their name and tap the name when it appears. Then tap the Audio button or FaceTime. Both FaceTime and FaceTime Audio are data and never go through the phone network as a regular phone call. You will be charged in the same way as using the internet for other purposes on your phone, over Wi-Fi or mobile data depending on your scenario. FaceTime Audio calls don't ‘become’ regular calls. Open the link in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on your Windows PC. Enter your name in the box and click "Continue." From there, click "Join" from the floating toolbar found at the bottom of the screen. The person on the other side of the FaceTime call will need to accept your request before you can join on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Open the FaceTime app on your Mac. Enter the name, phone number, or email address of who you want to add to the call. Continue adding contacts until the group has been added. Click the Video button at the bottom of the app. Say you started the conference call with FaceTime, but you need to add in someone after the fact. Previously, you couldn't use FaceTime to call people using non-Apple devices. But that changed with iOS 15 in 2021; you can now generate a FaceTime link and share it with Android and Windows users. While non-Apple users can't generate a link, they can still join the call. So, that makes it still a decent choice for group calls.

The good news is that you don’t have to stop using FaceTime. As with any Apple app, you can turn off FaceTime's ability to use cellular data. Once you do so, you will need a Wi-Fi connection to make or receive FaceTime calls, but FaceTime won’t use any more of your data. Open the Settings app. Tap Cellular. tKeS2Y8.
